Social Media Strategist

The Social Media Strategist is responsible developing, executing and maintaining social media strategies for both paid and organic campaigns and ensuring the campaigns run efficiently, with input from Account Teams, the Digital Director and the assistance of the Social Media Coordinator. The Social Media Strategist plays a vital part in our clients’ successful social media campaigns as well as the Digital Team’s success by being a thought leader and agency got-to for all client social campaigns. Being highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is they key to success in this role.

Detailed Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure campaigns are pacing correctly by reviewing pacing document dailyWork closely with Account team and Digital Director as well as the rest of the digital team to help define goals, KPIs, outcomes for paid and organic campaigns.
  • Help Director of Digital Services, Digital Supervisor, Account Teams and Director of Planning to develop, execute, and maintain organic and paid Social Media strategies for Cuneo clients with each campaign focused on clients’ desired KPIs and goals
  • Work closely with Account Team, Director of Digital Services as well as the rest of the Digital Team to help define goals, KPIs, outcomes for paid and organic campaigns
  • Work closely with Account Team and key members of the Digital Team to create and maintain organic social media content calendars and posting schedules
  • Guide Agency Assistants and Digital Coordinators in client reputation management (review responses), working with Office Manager to develop training schedule for new AAs
  • Work creatively and analytically towards targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of social media tactics and programs
  • Interact with clients on a one-off basis via email, phone or on-site meetings as needed
  • Work with Social Team, Account Services and Creative Services to identify, interpret and capitalize on social media trends, brainstorm and optimize creative and copy, A/B test ads, provide edits as needed. Looping in Director of Digital Services and Digital Supervisor as necessary
  • Lead the agency discussion for both paid and organic social, participating in inter-departmental education and training opportunities
  • Help to develop benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of social media programs and implement improvements as needed
  • Work in conjunction with agency and client stakeholders to adjust campaigns as needed
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, technology and latest social media trends
  • Work with Director of Digital Services Digital Supervisor, Programmatic Team Lead to understand clients reporting across all tactics, developing the reporting story
  • Be prepared to attend client meetings to discuss Social Media results and answer questions
  • Discuss campaign results with Account team
  • Create recommendations and guide junior social team members on planning and recommendations
  • Work closely with Planning and Digital leaders to develop comprehensive plans
  • Participate in the growth and goal setting of junior social staff members

 

Experience and Attributes:

  • Strong preference to candidates with a four-year degree in advertising, marketing, communications or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 4 years advertising and/or marketing experience
  • Recent experience in directly developing and implementing successful social media strategies, initiatives and tactics
  • Demonstrated organizational capabilities to track progress, execution and consistency of social advertising campaigns
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, professional and extremely organized
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Facebook Blueprint Certification, annually
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Google Analytics Certification, annually
